Frequently asked questions
What is an E-Persual?
An E-Perusal (Electronic Perusal) is a free, digital copy of a script that you can use to determine if a show is a good fit for your theater group. Our E-Perusals are simply free, downloadable PDF files with the script and links to the music from the show.
What is in a Production Kit?
The Production Kit includes an Actor Book, Director Book, Piano/Vocal Score, Vocal Recordings (vocals with music), Accompaniment Recordings (backing tracks), Copying License, Artwork Pack and Video Recording License. Everything is provided as an electronic download. The Production kit includes a license to perform the show unlimited times in a one year period starting from the date of purchase.
How do I purchase a show
After you have read through a script as an E-Perusal, and decided that the show is a good fit for your theater group, you can purchase the production kit for your chosen show by ordering a Production Kit. After payment, you’ll receive the contract, and a link to the downloadable production materials to your e-mail.
What does it cost to perform a show?
Our production kits costs $199 and includes all licenses you need to perform the show an unlimited amount of times in a one year period. There are no hidden fees.
Can I change the script so it fits my theater group better?
Yes! Feel free to make changes to the script. We know that setting up a children’s music theater show can be challenging, and that making changes to the script can solve a lot of problems. That’s why our production kit includes the script as a word document, so you can easily make the necessary changes.
Can I record our performance?
Yes! You can even put it up on Youtube or Vimeo, but please don’t monetize video recordings of our shows on a grand scale. In other words, it’s okay to sell/distribute DVD’s of the performance to the performers’ parents, grandparents, or friends, but not okay to sell in your theater group’s web shop.
Why should I consider your musicals for kids?
1. Give the actors the best possible experience
If you want the actors to have the best possible experience, then an indie musical theatre show is a better choice than more famous productions, such as ‘Alice In Wonderland’. While these well-known shows can be spectacular when done right, they unfortunately require a significant amount of rehearsal time for the actors to master.
2. Adaptability
Indie musical theatre productions, especially those specializing in musicals for kids, are typically more flexible, allowing for changes in cast size, the omission of lines or songs, and sometimes even the addition of new characters. The ability to make adjustments to the scripts is essential in order to include everyone and ensure the show is a perfect fit for the theatre group.

Don’t forget the performance license!
Presenting unlicensed shows can lead to undesirable consequences. In 2019, the musicals licensor Music Theatre International was awarded $450,000 in addition to attorney’s fees in a court case against Theaterpalooza Community Theater Productions, Inc. Theaterpalooza Community Theater Productions had staged unlicensed productions of MTI shows like Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka and Matilda.
